The program is intended for businesses with revenues of less than $40,000 per year ($3333.33 average monthly revenue) which do not qualify for the Canada Emergency Business account or Métis Emergency Business Financing.
Unfortunately the program is not available to businesses with zero revenue.
Unfortunately the program is focused on families in need, and given that resources are limited is currently only offered to families whose total income is less than $160,000 per year.
Unfortunately the program is not available to those who have received the Canada Emergency Business Account Loan (CEBA) or a COVID-19 loan from MVDF.
Unfortunately the program is only available to those whose business has been directly negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Métis Nation of Ontario and Métis Voyageur Development Fund Inc. are pleased to support Métis home based and family businesses.
Métis Micro-Business Fund:
This fund will provide non-repayable financial support to Métis home based and family businesses, generating revenue of less than $40,000, in a year that do not qualify for: the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA), other federal support programs, or a COVID-19 loan through the Métis Voyageur Development Fund Inc. (MVDF)
Eligible micro-businesses can receive contributions of up to $8,000, based on revenue.
